Biography



Bunny Schendler is a London born animator and filmmaker, whose work includes the BAFTA nominated Channel Four commissioned short, The World of Interiors.

Originally studying Fine Art sculpture at Liverpool Polytechnic, she returned to London and made her first animated film, The Birds, on her kitchen table. She studied animation at the Royal College of Art from 1993-1995 where she made Flicker, which has been shown in festivals throughout Europe. 

She worked on Candy Guard's first Channel Four series Pond Life, and became a director at Bermuda Shorts. In addition to directing title sequences and short commercials, Bunny
worked as an animator on several music-based projects with director Run Wrake.

In 2001, she finished The World of Interiors, which she had developed during her animation residency at MOMI. The film, produced by Chris Shepherd, was nominated for the 2002 BAFTA for animation.

Bunny then joined Maria Manton and Chris Shepherd at Slinky Pictures, directing commercials and short films. 

From 2009-2011 Bunny collaborated with award winning photographer, Magda Segal. They became joint Artists-in-Residence at Kentish Town Health Centre, and completed the short film, Timeline, in May 2011. Timeline can be seen in the waiting area of the health centre. They also made corporate films for Chanel and the IHG Hotel Group. In October 2011 they finished a documentary for the Medical Research Council which they filmed in Mumbai, India.

Ongoing projects include Accident and Emergency, a documentary portrait of Marie Beesley.

Adam B, a documentary about avant garde musician Adam Bohman.
